Frequently Asked Questions
What is a TM?
Translation memory systems are used in computer-aided translation. Each translated sentence is stored in a database and can be reused for future projects. The TM is created and saved during the translation using a CAT (computer-aided translation) tool. It can be used for future translations to ensure that texts are translated consistently.
How much time is required for translation?
This can vary greatly since in addition to the actual translation, the layout often has to be adjusted as well. You will receive a delivery date together with our quote.
How are my documents sent?
Your documents are sent via FTP access or by e-mail as required.
Why do you ask so many questions during the quotation request?
To meet high standards for your translation, it is important for the translator to know who the target text is aimed at, for example. This enables the text’s style to be adjusted accordingly. Reference material or previous translations are also useful.
My source or target language is not listed.
Please specify your requested language in the “Other Source/Target Language” field.
